We call on the President of the United States to issue a full pardon for John Kiriakou – former CIA officer, whistleblower, and human rights advocate. John exposed the CIA’s torture program in 2007, confirming the use of waterboarding. For this act of truth-telling, he was prosecuted under the Espionage Act and served 23 months in federal prison. Meanwhile, those who authorized and conducted torture faced no consequences. A pardon would recognize his service to the public, allow him to live freely, and correct a grave injustice.
